Jennifer Janesko

Jennifer Janesko began a professional career as a fashion illustrator shortly after graduating from college. Following a successful commercial illustration career, Janesko transformed her fashion illustration style into a series of figurative work. While creating figurative work, Janesko also explored her abstract style. Today, Janesko describes her abstract style as “abstract landscape.” The artist is largely inspired by the vistas she encounters when she travels. The paintings are mental snapshots of trips to countries such as Iceland, South Africa, Jordan, Israel, Greece, Japan, Norway and other dynamic locations.

Janesko believes in a modernist approach to her work. Each stroke of the brush or pencil is deliberate and communicates a story that although begun by the artist, is finished by the viewer. Minimalistic in approach, but based in intricate concept, the goal of the artist is to transport the viewer to their own dream destination. Jennifer works with a mixed media approach, utilizing acrylic, oil, charcoal, pencil and ink. Images are created on board, paper and canvas.

Janesko has displayed and sold her fine art nationally and internationally. Her work has been featured on a wine series by Haut Art Wines of Napa Valley, CA. She also works with CZ Guitars, to create one-of-a-kind painted Gibson guitars. Her work has been published in 4 books and has been featured on television and in film.

When she is not pursuing her love of travel, Jennifer Janesko currently resides in Prairie Village, Kansas where she creates art in a peaceful environment before heading off to a new inspirational destination.
